So much for Amazon Now! To be honest I don’t know if we’ll really miss it. The only real convenience being the quick delivery. Being a little more patient and intentional with our online shopping is probably the best way to look at it.

We aren't getting rid of it yet, because we actually do A LOT of our shopping online. But I competely emphasize with those who decide to break the habit. One move I really want to make this year is focusing on buying more eco-friendly items from more responsible companies.

I've never found online shopping like Amazon convenient in the long run. I can't see the item ahead of time, and then I have to wait for it to arrive. Then the person delivering mail decides not to put it at my door, and I have to drive to a local post office to pick it up anyway. Last year I ordered one item from Amazon only, and it took 5 days to get here. Local shopping not only supports local people, I get same day delivery, and I get to check the item first. I also have a return that is pretty easy. Larger items that have a big price gap are effortlessly matched by the local stores as well.

However, I have not given up on the convenience of online shopping. Whether at Target, or Lowes or any restaurant ordering on the app and picking up at the store or home delivery are my new shopping style. I won’t go to a store if I don’t have to, but if I do the mask comes with 😉
